As well as providing decor art to the general public, ELphotos provides photographs to calendar and card companies. Other than the familiar requests, recent solicitations were received from an environmental group requiring an unkempt lawn image, a calendar company searching for a picture of the moon taken other than at night, and a custom wallpaper design company requiring an image of the Ohio River and its landscape. One of Elra's transparencies progressed to t he final rounds after a call to photographers from Natural State Images for calendar submissions. Newschannel 3 WSAZ-TV (Huntington/Charleston, WV) utilized two photographs by Elra K. Norris for their WeatherSpy Shot segment in December 2000. In January 2001, Newschannel 13 WOWK-TV (Huntington/Charleston, WV) also solicited photos for their weather casts.

Salute has ben given to Elra's work by Kodak International Newspaper Awards and The Rutherford Institute, who exhibited Elra's work with other photographers in honor of the 50^th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Exhibit which was presented in August 1998 in the Russell Building Senate Rotunda, National Capitol Building, Washington, D.C. This Rutherford exhibit was also presented in a slide format at le Palais de Congres in Paris, France at Rutherford Institute's 1998 European Conference, "Megatrends in Human Rights."

Certain prints of Elra Norris' ragdoll parodies were on exhibit at The Cabell Huntington Surgery Center in Huntington, West Virginia, from January 25, 2001 through February 22, 2001. As a member of Tri-State Arts Association, Elra was invited by the Surgery Center to resent a display of work.

Elra K. Norris has been published by Quality Paperback Book Club in World's Best Shortest Stories, edited by Steve Moss and John M. Daniel. QPB says of its challenge to write a short story in 55 words: "These diminutive darlings pack a punch entirely out of proportion to their modest size." Elra was also a contributor in the Spring 2001 edition of the quarterly anthology Paisley parrot with a short poem. A tree was planted in the name of Elra by PhotoSource International on the back road overlooking the lake at Pine Lake Farm in Osceola, Wisconsin. As a lover of nature, and trees and flowers in particular, Elra believes in conserving the natural beauty of America.

In June 2001, Elra Norris was the featured photographer on the web site of PhotoSource International. PhotoSource is a premier web-based organization that hooks up photobuyers with stock photographers and receives more than 350,000 hits per month.

In April 2002 Elra Norris was invited to submit artwork to ArTatoO and was subsequently showcased on that website's home page, and was also a featured photographer at that same site's page of photographic art.

Elra K. Norris is honored to have been asked by several young photography students across the USA to provide counsel and guidance in their photography endeavors. Elra gives special thanks to the university student of theater who bought several of ELphotos' cards to demonstrate lighting technique who advised she made an "A" in her class. Another special thanks to one young student who distinguished Elra's work when he presented ELphotos' web site as his theme for a photography project. Elra is still beaming to be so complimented.

Huntington photographer Elra Norris donated copies of Trees I've Loved and Impressions to the Fletcher Publishing Lending Library at the Huntington High Renaissance Center in Huntington, WV.

Elra Norris has exhibited at The Renaissance Gallery and at ARTS (Arts Resources for the Tri-State), both in Huntington, WV.

Elra was invited to exhibit work at the International Arts and conference Center in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky, a show that was the collaborative effort of the International Art Collective and the City of Louisville.

The Artistic Department of GRUPO BATIK ART invited Elra Norris to participate in their FIST EXHIBITION, celebrating their 25^th anniversary in their gallery in Barcelona, Spain.

Elra Norris is among the names included on the compact disc to go on the Mars Exploration Rover-2003 Mission. The purpose of the mission was to explore the planet's surface in search of geologic evidence of water in Mars past.

Elra Norris donated several pieces of work to the Tri-State Arts Association (TSAA) Art Auction held to collect money to benefit the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) which was displaced by the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The World Trade Center afforded panoramic vistas of New York which were captured by LMCC's member artists as dramatic cityscapes in various media.
